Questions

Before you ask

Does it cost me anything to use a mortgage broker?

No. Harbourline is paid a commission by the lender you choose. The commission does not change the rate you get. If we cannot find you a competitive deal, you will not proceed with us.

How long does pre-approval take?

Usually 24 to 48 hours once we have your documents. Most clients are pre-approved within two business days, so you can shop with confidence.

What documents do I need?

Photo ID, your last two to three payslips, recent superannuation statements and a list of debts and expenses. Self-employed clients also need two years of tax returns.

Can I buy a home with a 5% deposit?

Yes. Several lenders accept a 5% deposit with lenders mortgage insurance. A guarantor structure can remove the insurance cost for family-backed buyers. We compare both routes for you.
